The Westminster Larger Catechism reads:

Q. 155. How is the word made effectual to salvation?
A. The Spirit of God maketh the reading, but especially the preaching of the word, an effectual means of enlightening, convincing, and humbling sinners; of driving them out of themselves, and drawing them unto Christ; of conforming them to his image, and subduing them to his will; of strengthening them against temptations and corruptions; or building them up in grace, and establishing their hearts in holiness and comfort through faith unto salvation.

At Neon Reformed we believe the preaching of the word of God is central to biblical worship. We ordinarily use the lectio continua method of biblical exposition, preaching through whole books of the Bible verse-by-verse. We also occasionally do topical studies. Both methods are used in the interest of hearing the whole counsel of God concerning our salvation. We invite you to join us Sunday mornings and evenings as we gather to hear from our triune God through the preaching of his word!
